Judas Iscariot was one of the twelve disciples. According to the evangelists he enabled the arrest of Jesus. The Gospel of Luke calls this betrayal (Lk 22:48). Judas is holding the bag with thirty pieces of silver he got for delivery of Jesus to the high priests.
