Jakobus der Ältere. Er ist im Neuen Testament einer der erstberufenen Apostel Jesu und war angeblich der Bruder von Johannes. Nach Ludolph von Sachsen soll er Jesus “simillimus” (Latein für “höchst ähnlich”) gewesen sein, weswegen Judas bei der Gefangennahme seinen Meister küsste, damit die Häscher ihn nicht mit Jakobus verwechselten.

James the Greater. One of the first apostles of Jesus in the New Testament and allegedly the brother of John the Apostle. As per Ludolph of Saxony James must have been “simillimus” to Jesus (Latin for “highly alike”). Before the capture Judas kissed his Master so that the henchmen would not arrest James by accident.
