Die Tafel <20>Christus vor dem Hohepriester<65> zeigt die Vorf<72>hrung Jesu vor dem Hohen Rat als oberste Instanz der j<>dischen Gerichtsbarkeit. In den Evangelien des Matth<74>us, Markus und Lukas ist die Rede von einer Versammlung mehrerer Hohepriester. Daher nimmt diese Darstellung scheinbar Bezug auf das Johannesevangelium, demzufolge Jesus zum ersten Verh<72>r Hohepriester Hannas vorgef<65>hrt wurde.

The panel <20>Jesus and the High Priest<73> shows the arraignment of Jesus before the high council, which was the highest jewish instance of law. The gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke write about an assembly of multiple high priests. Therefore, this depiction seemingly refers to the gospel of John, where Jesus<75> first questioning is done by the high priest Annas.
